STABLE DWELLER

Design duo Bengt och Lotta always find the right balance between naive folklore and modern graphics. A personal favourite is candle holder Häst, available from Designonline among others.

GET IT WHILE YOU CAN

I've been meaning to wait with the actual Christmas stuff a little longer, but this one's sure to be sold out in a couple of weeks. Looks good as is, but can easily be decorated with ribbon or string or what not. I love that they filled it with spices. Adventsstake from Granit.

SERIOUS OFF-SEASON POTENTIAL

This is the best non-designer/high street brand adventsstake this year. You need to see beyond this boring image by imagining some moss, pinecones, florals or tiny toadstools. Would look equally great in a country setting and an urban home. The beauty of this one is that it can be filled with oasis and used during the rest of the year as centerpiece, something few christmas items can pull off...

Half price off in the webshop right now.

A NEW STAR

These modern floor-to-ceiling windows of our aprtment isn't a good fit with the traditional Swedish adventsbåge. Contemplating instead a couple of a large white stars in the living room and so far this is my favourite: Jupiter from Watt & Weke.

STAR LIGHT STAR BRIGHT

This would look great in our living room. More glimmer than glitter and a neutral colour that works well with a combination of several metallics: silver, gold and brass. Anemon from Åhléns.
