Master story teller HC Andersen used to cut elaborate paper silhouettes to illustrate his stories. Danish firm Nordahl Andersen have turned some of them into delicate ornaments. Seen above is "The ugly duckling". I've been eyeing the whole collection this year, I think some will become this year´s addition to the tree.

HOW'S IT HANGING?
Standard sized ornaments are slightly too small to create balance in larger trees, but Bohus Interior has ones that are sized just right. Glassornaments are a hazard and ... yup, I broke one last year, so some new acquisitions are due.

DAZZLE
With small children in the house glass ornaments are a gamble, but we haven't given up all hopes for the future. Handmade in the Czech Republic, some in molds more than 100 years old, these from Danish newcomer Brink Nordic would make great keepsakes. Their fancy ribbons are the perfect finishing touch. In fact, I'd like to get extra rolls and change ribbons on inexpensive ornaments we already have for a budget friendly upgrade.
