LOVELY LICE


The same year our son was born Ugly Children's Clothing released their knitted body for babies. What a precious bundle he was for Christmas, barely two weeks old. These clothes are fashioned after the traditional Norwegian Marius sweaters, but with a modern twist. I rediscovered the brand this week while on the look out for knitwear. Time to hunt down that piggy bank of Norwegian kroner.

FAMILY TIES

These ties have been on our radar for a couple of years. The tie of my husband's choice is of course from Øst Telemark. The only reason it's not hanging in the closet already is that he wants the whole schebang of a complete bunad (national folk costume) first. With a price tag at least ten times these ties, we'll see which gets here first...

TEALIGHTS DE LUXE


Skultuna Brass Foundry has been in operation since 1607. They're a personal favourite and I am thrilled about the modern pieces now available. Shown here is Kin by design trio Claesson Koivisto Rune. Brass is the classic Swedish christmas metal of choice. Skultuna opens their first Stockholm store at Grev Turegatan 18 in november 2011.

MULLING IT

I don't drink coffee but I'd love to use this Danish thermos jug for glögg. Traditionally the sweet mulled hot drink is served from a bowl or pot, but this would make for a less sticky affair and easier clean up. Not to mention the hot chocolate after playing in the snow. Everyone help themselves with less of a mess.
